Established in 2006, The Art Stable specialises in Contemporary and 20th Century British art. Exhibiting original paintings, prints and ceramics, the gallery aims to offer a wide variety of artworks from both emerging and established talents. Located in Child Okeford, a village situated between Shaftesbury and Blandford in Dorset, The Art Stable hosts both a continually changing selection of stock and a number of solo exhibitions. Recent artists showcased include David Gommon (1913-87) and the contemporary painter William Wright, and in the collection they are joined by examples from artists such as Norman Adams RA, Bryan Ingham and RB Kitaj.

The Art Stable was founded and is run by Kelly Ross. The Art Stable and its roster of artists reflect Kelly’s wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry, having worked in the art market for nearly 30 years since her first job with the European Print dealer, William Weston.  After four years with Austin/Desmond Fine Art in Bloomsbury, she co-ran the Gallery at John Jones before opening the Coram Gallery in Bloomsbury in 1993. In 1999 Kelly also ran the Summerleaze Gallery in Wiltshire before opening The Art Stable. Works can be viewed in the gallery during exhibition opening hours or otherwise by appointment.
