Middlemarch Fine Art

Middlemarch Fine Art specialises in British art from the mid-late 20th century. The dealership was established with a particular focus on works on paper, with works by artists such as Henry Cliffe, Aubrey Williams and Gwyneth Johnstone. Middlemarch Fine Art is owned and operated by Belinda Allen Agar and builds on Belinda’s own experience of both collecting and selling art. Inspired by her late parents Pat and Penny Allen’s esteemed collection of Modern and post-War British and European artworks, Belinda purchased her own Keith Vaughan at the age of eighteen and since then has handled works by some of the most important names of British Art, including Roger Hilton, John Craxton and Mary Fedden. Prior to founding Middlemarch Fine Art, Belinda had a successful career in the television industry with her company Middlemarch Films, producing documentaries and full-length dramas for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

The collection can be viewed by appointment in either London or Suffolk.
