Michael Parkin Fine Art is an established London dealership with a specialism in Modern British artworks. The late founder Michael Parkin opened the gallery in Mocomb Street in Belgravia in 1972, and today the dealership operates from Chelsea and is run by his wife, Diana. In Motcomb Street the gallery hosted ten exhibitions a year and was known for its support of a wide range of artists, displaying works by figures ranging from to Lucian Freud to Louis Wain. Today the business is operated in Michael’s spirit and features works by many of the artists he championed such as Paul Robert Stevenson and Roland Collins, alongside examples by a number of contemporary artists such as illustrator Christopher Brown. The collection has a particularly strong focus on printmakers such as Glynn Boyde Harte and Wendela Boreel, as well as works by Diana’s own favourite 1920s and ‘30s artists such as Claughton Pellew and Mary Adshead. All artworks are available to view by appointment or at a number of London art fairs.
