John Iddon Fine Art is an established art dealership specialising in Modern British Art -particularly that of Royal Academicians- from the 1930’s to the present. Based in Richmond, the gallery deals in works produced in a variety of mediums including oils, gouache and watercolour alongside prints and drawings. Artists frequently exhibited include Mary Fedden, Richard Bawden, Chris Orr and Donald Hamilton Fraser, alongside younger contemporary artists such as Anne Swankie and Melissa Scott Miller. Works can be viewed by appointment and John Iddon Fine Art exhibits at various fairs in the capital throughout the year.
Before starting John Iddon Fine Art, John ran an MA degree programme in Museums and Galleries Interpretation at St Mary’s University. His dealership is founded on a rich knowledge and appreciation of British art, and in addition to art dealing he is a NADFAS lecturer in art history. He has lectured in numerous venues including the Peggy Guggenheim in Venice on board the Queen Mary II and as part of team of Tate lecturers on P&O cruises.
