Coombe Gallery specialises in 20th century and contemporary art, with works by both the established figures of 20th century British art and newer artistic talents. In particular, the Gallery- which is situated in Foss Street, Dartmouth- is dedicated to promoting the cream of West Country artists and makers. Through their regular cycle of exhibitions they also provide a platform for emerging artists, with the annual ‘Rising Stars’ exhibition in October highlighting the best of graduating students. Artists regularly stocked by the gallery include Rosie Sanders, Alison Pullen and Paul Riley.
Coombe Gallery was originally established by Paul and his wife Tina as part of the Coombe Farm Studios educational complex. Today it is run by their son Mark, an Art History graduate of Aberdeen University who is the fourth generation member of this talented family to be involved in fine art.
